Infrastructure and Environmental Systems (INES) Ph.D. Program

The Ph.D. program in Infrastructure and Environmental Systems offers an interdisciplinary study opportunity for students from systems and industrial engineering, operations research and engineering management and related fields. The doctoral students following the systems optimization and management track can develop the analytical skills and business sense necessary to optimize and manage the complex interaction within infrastructure and/or environmental systems.

Students must take core courses, focus area elective courses, directed studies and dissertation credits to support doctoral research. The general research areas include but are not limited to: Logistics and Supply Chains; Lean Six Sigma; Energy Systems; Sustainable Systems Modeling; and Systems Modeling and Analytics.
